This episode, The Apple, has a special place in my heart. It was the first of any Star Trek I ever saw when I was six years old, and I was immediately hooked. So much happens in this episode – exploding rocks, evil computer that won’t allow touching and kissing, natives attacking with chip-forks fought off by Kirk’s deadly upper-arm chops and double-axe-handles, Prime Directive, Scotty losing his job, and above all solving all problems with liberal use of phasers. And they tell Spock that he looks like Satan. Now I think about it, this episode contains more Trek cliche than any other I can think of =)
Vol’s tricks are all the more impressive when you consider that it’s powered entirely by fruit thrown down its throat by its servants. It’s nice to see that the Prime Directive doesn’t apply when the culture in question is clearly wrong.

I lied, I really do hate O’Brien :P Only kidding, I’m just being mean to him, like all the DS9 writers.
There is nothing wrong here, because (A) Nothing happened, you’re the one who imagined it, you sick, sick person, and (B) they are both adults, and married. With a child. If anything this is just like being doppeled into a monkey like in the classic movie Overdrawn At The Memory Bank.
Speaking of classic 80’s movies, the Tom Hanks movie “Big” heavily implies that twelve-year-old-in-adult-body Josh gets laid. But that’s okay, he’s a boy, that way around seems to be fine. Fat-Bottomed Girls, you make the rockin’ world go ’round.
I have far too many readers now, lets see how many I can upset, and if I’m allowed to make comics ever again :P
I’ve had a few thousand more visitors than usual this week, and most of them seem to think I hate Chief O’Brien. . . quick put up a new comic :P Reddit is a cruel master. With any luck I’ll soon become popular enough to receive a cease-and-desist from Paramount and I can stop making these. I jest of course. I have another Chief O’Brien comic safely stored away in my brain that will definitely be the last comic I’m ever allowed to make.
This week I have mostly been re-watching the awesome Space:Above & Beyond. I would make a comic about it but nobody remembers it, and those that do thought it was silly. Alas, there was only one season thanks to short-sighted studio-execs. You’d think just once they’d take a chance. <AI Noise>
As we used to call him, The Only Chief in Starfleet.
Time for some random linkage. Somehow I’ve managed to avoid discovering http://larptrek.com until now. I am amused, even if they are still ranked above me in the all-important “Star Trek Webcomic” Google-search.
Also, if you’ve never seen it you absolutely must read painful amounts of “Fashion It So” , a curious blog that disects all the random fashion choices in episodes of TNG. You wouldn’t think it from the description, but it is really laugh-out-loud funny, despite (and because of) the subject matter. They’ve covered a ton of episodes, but for a random start point you could do worse than http://sttngfashion.tumblr.com/post/43516128284/11001001-1-15.

It’s scary how at-ease Kirk looks in his SS uniform. I also love the standard away-mission procedure in these situations. . . . beam down, find something to cover up Spock’s ears.
Ferrengi ships look delicious, and Captain Picard loves them for breakfast, instead of that fancy stuff Beverly keeps bringing. Of course, he’d never say anything. . . (Season 7, “Attached”)
Sometimes you just have to make comics in which Picard is badass.
Peak Performance is one of my favourite episodes, at least from the early seasons. It has silly space-combat, silly Ferrengi, and finger-wiggling games. That is all.
If you haven’t played with it yet, have a look at the random toy I made at http://evilpicard.com/suggestions . . . it’s not exactly finished, but it amused me :P
You might think that I was trying to say something about internet censorship, that pornography and bad language is not as important as violence. . .but you’d be wrong. I’m just making bad comics.
Also, look, another comic, that’s two. In a row.
